10 years!

On this past Monday (1/16/2017) me and Rob celebrated 10 wonderful years of marriage! Now we have had our ups and downs, sometimes I think more downs then ups. But we are still going strong. We have 2 wonderful, drive-me-crazy, sassy kids. We live in a great house in a awesome neighborhood. I have a job that I love and people that I love to work with. I can not wait to see what the future has in store for us.

Week 4 -Half Marathon Training

This week was pretty good. My shins hurt when I ran so I walked a lot this week. I started getting a cold Thursday so I did not do 4 days like I wanted too. Hopefully I am over this cold this weekend and can push my self more next week.

Week 3 Half-Marathon Training

This week went so much better! I actually got better every time I went.

Week 2 of Half-Marathon Training

Week 2 did not go well. I half-heartedly did a workout on Tuesday, then did not do anything the rest of the week. It always happens like this, the first week or so I do really good, then I miss 1-2 days and just stop doing stuff. These quotes were sent around my office Friday and I really needed them. I just need to remember to just keep trying. Week 3 here I come!

Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017!

Happy New Year! 2016 was hard and satisfying at the same time. So changes for my family and so many losses in my family also. I am glad to see 2016 go. 2017 is going to be the best year every! 10 year anniversary, turning 30, running my first half-marathon, Yellowstone and who knows what else.
We celebrated at home. We played games, played on the PS4 and watched movies. I love just hanging out with my family!

Here are my New Years Resolutions:

1. Stay consistent with my half-marathon training
2. Organize the storage and under the stairs
3. Find ways to talk better to my kids
4. Work on my relationship with my Heavenly Father
5. Date my husband more

Week 1 of my Half-Marathon Training

Week 1 was pretty good,  I didn't go as many days as I want to due to my work schedule. I was able to go 3 days and I think that is pretty good for me.

I did not do 2 miles everyday, but next week is going to be even better!

I'm only half crazy.

It felt great to finish the Women of Steel relay race, so I wanted to push my self a little bit more and do something I would have never dreamed I would do. I registered for the Utah Valley Half Marathon. It is on June 10, 2017, 8 days before I turn 30! Now that Christmas is over I am going to focus more on my training. I've come up with my own schedule, starting out at 2 miles and adding a mile more every 2 weeks. It will be interesting to see where I am come race day. Right now I am 140lbs and 32in around the waist.

I will be using my blog to be accountable for my running. Each week I will post how many miles I did that week. I am grateful for the love and support of my family, especially my husband who thinks I nuts doing this, but supports me anyways.
